Trust Us to Have the Answer to the Question You Hesitate to Ask

You know that how you feel and think isn’t typical. What you’ve never had is somebody obvious to help you.

Or the trouble is in the room with somebody else. The two of you have stopped accomplishing anything when you talk, and you want tools to find each other again.

Your voice has gotten smaller over the years, and you want it back.

The day-to-day things don’t get done, and it’s costing you your opinion of yourself.

Somebody to hand all of that to is the actual shortage in this corner of Mississippi. When Dr. Meagan Medley opened Sageberry Psychology in New Albany in 2025, there was no other licensed psychologist providing services in the area and very few anywhere in North Mississippi.

So people went without. Or quit asking.

Sageberry exists so there’s somebody here to ask.

Bring Us the Question, and We’ll Tell You Which Half You Need

Half of what happens here is psychological testing and evaluation, and that half is Dr. Medley’s, all of it. The other half is counseling, and it belongs to two licensed professional counselors.

Here’s the whole list.

In the New Albany office:

  • Individual counseling
  • Couples counseling
  • Psychological testing for children, teens, and adults

Online:

  • Individual and couples counseling anywhere in Mississippi
  • Adult ADHD and adult autism testing in most states, for adults who qualify

IQ testing is the one exception. It happens in person only and only when it’s clinically necessary.

Dr. Brent Powell is in the New Albany office full-time with adults, couples, and men’s issues. Jeremiah Andrews is part-time and fully online with adolescents, young adults, and adults.

Both can see clients anywhere in Mississippi by video.

You’ll Leave Knowing Which Direction to Go Next

We practice with methods that have research behind them, and we pick them off what you walked in with.

We keep training. The research moves, and a practice that quit reading ten years ago will hand you ten-year-old care.

You’ll also get told the truth. If what’s going on looks environmental instead of clinical, we’ll say so, because holding your hand while you keep going in the wrong direction isn’t a service.

Everybody gets seasons of highs and seasons of lows. The work aims at making the lows fewer and smaller.

Meaningful change is the point. In practice that means feeling and doing differently in your life.
