Epic Is the Word I Use on Purpose

I’ve intentionally lived an epic life. My clients should get to live one, too, built on what they’re designed to do. Mental health care is where that starts for many people.

Evaluation is right up in my wheelhouse. Every psychological evaluation at Sageberry is mine, from the intake interview through the feedback session where I walk you through what I found.

The counseling belongs to Dr. Powell and Jeremiah Andrews.

Opening this practice came down to something plain. I’m driven to serve our community well, and I’m all about making sure the care people receive matches their needs.

Before Sageberry, I Was in the Schools

In Louisiana, I worked as a school psychologist in K-12 schools, rural, urban, and suburban – and I loved it. One of those schools I could only reach by taking a ferry boat across the Mississippi River.

Before opening Sageberry, I taught future school psychologists full-time at the university level. These days, it’s about one class a semester, at either Mississippi State or Arkansas State.

When I’m Not in the Office

Come to an American Foundation for Suicide Prevention event in Mississippi, and you’ll probably run into me. I chair the board of the state chapter, and I’m a trainer of their flagship program, “Talk Saves Lives.”

In my free time, I’ll be outside, kayaking, hiking, camping, or just relaxing with my family.
